Breathing is often an unconscious act, but for those with asthma, it can be a struggle. The author reflects on their childhood struggle with asthma and how it limited their activities. As they grew older, they overcame challenges and developed a passion for physical pursuits. Their experiences inspired poetry addressing the importance of clean air.
