Taking two perspectives to a prompt
Prompts are a great way to stimulate the writing experience. And there are so many out there. Here on WordPress, Instagram, Threads, a thing called X formerly called something else and Facebook to name but a few. The amount of prompts that are posted every day is quite impressive.
A really successful prompt is one that catches the imagination of other writers/poets. One such prompt came up this week, it immediately got me thinking what would “The Sound at the End of time” be. I ended up with two very different answers and wrote two poems accordingly. The first can be seen below:
The second poem takes a different vein of thought. They also take on different styles. I suppose both are a reflection of my character in very different ways. It was interesting to see the reaction each got on Instagram when I posted them earlier this week. Let me know which you prefer, if any. Comments are always welcome.
